On new year's eve I usually emptied my full load cartridge into the ground at my backyard in Cavite. I won't be doing it this year as we are away from home. Happy New Year to all !!

While Christmas eve is celebrated with the entire clan in one big central location, we celebrate New Year's eve in our homes. We believe that each family must gather in their homes to start the year right. There is food on the table for the noche buena. Before 12 midnight, we go to the front of our house to watch the fireworks set up by neighbors. When the clock strikes 12, we kiss each other and wish each one a Happy New year, and proceed to the dining table. We enjoy red and white wine to keep the festive atmosphere up.

Not so much. But you know, this year would be different for me and my family. We are going to welcome the New Year at the airport. My plane is scheduled to land at 10:40pm on the 31st and if i'm still lucky, i could get out before 12:00mn. No sumptuous meal on the table and no firecrackers, just us and the airport, and some other people who will be there like us. I just told my wife to bring a Jollibee cheeseburger and a coke for each one of us, then we shall continue the celebration at home. I'm excited already! weepeeeee!!!... hehehe...

Have a healthy New Year!!!
