there is a commercial now with testimonials saying, "ramdam nila ang asenso" pero if you ask a professional independent economist this statement is not viable.

knowing it is an advertisement with no source or maker of the ad, it is more of a propaganda.

Yes?? So I keep running into testimonials and full page ads in my newspaper (The Star) every day. What can you say? The TV or paper make money, most people look at it and mutter something about buguks, and that's all.

Remember ~ economy and politics is all about money. Nuff said.

Commercials are paid advertisements therefore not believable. It may be products that manufacturers want the public to believe in their effectiveness e.g. shampoos, toothpaste or like in this particular advertisement - it's what the government wants to project to the people that our economy is on the upswing. No one wants to believe in any of these unless and until they have been tested and proven true.

I cannot feel the difference or the effects of an economic upsurge in our country. The impact of progress is not felt, not in my life anyway. I still earn the same but I spend more now than I did 3 or 4 years ago because prices of commodities have gone up which means I have to adopt measures to make both ends meet or, look for means to augment my income.

i'm no pro administration, but this propaganda is better than a negative propaganda, just look what happened to the israelites, said in the bible as the chosen people, so that's how they feel now.

Include my answer in the poll, if any. I say NO!..... The government is not even 100 percent sure whether we are rising up: our officials are saying we can feel the effects by 2010.

you can not blame the government solely for your financial miseries. the government, in my own opinion, is doing its part, its just that their means aren't enough. I think Gloria is doing a good job. I always use the purchasing power of the peso as my gauge in measuring our economy's performance. im no good in economics but i think, no one can do it better than Gloria. If you think anyone else can do it better, I would really like to know the guy. But if you don't know one, I think its better to shut your mouth and stop criticizing the admin. heheheh. fish tayo!
